We, our donors and members, are creating something that will live on long after we are gone. We have only just gotten underway.  In the near
future, you will see here an interactive map where you can explore all of our properties and progress.

Phase 1 of our launch in 2009 focuses on key areas in Mexico and Central America, Indonesia and Africa.  Approximately US$20,000,000 is
required to complete this phase.  The proposed projects are as follows:

2008-01-MEX:

55 acre mountain property outside of San Cristobal, Chiapas, Mexico.
2008-02-MEX

907 acre ranch outside of Merida, Yucatan, Mexico.  Jaguar, ocelot
and diverse birdlife with several natural cenotes (natural limestone
wells)

2008-03-GUATEMALA

Research Station to use a strategic base to protect Guacamaya
Parrots and conduct BTW rehabilitation projects to offset
encroaching agriculture in the Mayan Biosphere Reserve (see map).
Ethiopia

2.5 hectares of community donated land to create tree nursery and
beekeeping operation for benefit of community and nearby Bale
National Park.
2008-04-EAST JAVA

200 hectares.  A complete reforestation project to create additional
protected area and extend parkland.  Repopulation of native species
such as the slow loris, barking deer, javan langur, leopard and
pangolin

2008-07-KENYA

Mt. Kenya, Laikipia region, to create bufferzones against
encroaching agriculture and establish strong sustainability
programs, 500 acres of large and small farming parcels.

250 hectares.  A complete reforestation of a palm oil plantation
which borders the Gunung Leuser National Park in order to
provide additional bufferzone and protection of Sumatran
Orangutans and other species such as the Sumatran Tiger and
Hornbill Rhinoceros.
